Biography

Jean Marois, LLM, C.Med., Adm.A., is the president of PRDSA. An arbitrator, investigator and mediator certified by the Québec Bar, the Institut de médiation et d’arbitrage du Québec (IMAQ), the ADR Institute of Canada (ADRIC) and the International Mediation Institute (IMI), his focus is mainly on workplace law.

In the course of his professional experience, he has served as mediator, neutral evaluator, investigator or facilitator, dealing primarily with organizational and relational conflicts, group conflicts and psychological harassment at provincial ministries and organizations, federal agencies, municipalities and private companies.

For over 10 years, Mr. Marois was a lecturer in the LLM Alternative Dispute Resolution Program at the Faculty of Law of the Université de Sherbrooke. He continues to train mediators in the civil and commercial mediation program offered by this university in association with IMAQ.

Additionally, MMarois hosts dozens of training sessions for public and private organizations on psychological harassment, complaint handling, and mediation and investigation processes. 

He is a co-author of the Québec Bar's Guide des meilleures pratiques à l’intention des avocats effectuant des enquêtes sur des plaintes de harcèlement psychologique and one of the first authors of IMAQ's Code d'éthique des médiateurs.
